Yanick Lahens, born in Port-au-Prince in Haiti December 22, 1953, is a Haitian writer, winner of the 2014 edition of Femina award for her novel “Bain de Lune”.
Biography
Yanick Lahens performs his studies at the University of Paris IV-Sorbonne before going back to Haiti where she teaches at the Ecole Normale Superieure until 1995.
Very involved in the community life of Haiti, she is co-founder of the Association of Haitian writers (since removed) and with the foundation "Culture and Creation" founded a library in Saint-Louis-du-Nord. It also shows after the 2010 earthquake
